Painting Processes: Direct, Indirect, & Between (7 sessions)

In this class we will study the spectrum of painting processes. We will cover indirect painting, learning how to make an underpainting and apply glazes like the old masters, building a painting in many layers. We will also learn direct painting, with bold color and mark-making, like the impressionists. And to conclude the class we will learn how to combine these processes and apply glazes to a direct painting.
