Kristin Kummer

Kristin Kummer is the creator and director of Kids Create Collective. She is a board-certified music therapist and worked at Bridgeway Academy for 13 years, working with individuals on the autism spectrum ages 3 years old through adults. Before that, she was a teacher of early childhood music and movement. Before that, she earned a M.A. in English literature from Middlebury College’s Breadloaf School of English in Middlebury, Vermont, and B.A.s in both music and English literature from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. And through that long journey, she learned the art of writing curriculums, managing groups (that she fondly refers to as “controlled chaos”), and the fine art of creating a community of individuals in different disciplines and across ages. Currently, she keeps a home with her abundantly patient husband, Ron, her sassy-sweet daughter, Rosie, and their spoiled rescue dog, Winifred. Kristin loves to cook and bake, read, obsess over the Marvel Cinematic Universe, listen to podcasts, make music, & knit and crochet.
