Ceramics: Surface Design and You (4 sessions)

Be both a potter and a painter! A well-placed design can make your clay work shine. Every week, we will explore a different technique for image and mark-making on clay, including sgraffito, tape resist, and underglaze transfers. Experience in making your own vessels through is helpful but not necessary. Equally helpful is experience with 2D art of any kind! Your first bag of clay, studio glazes, tools, and 20 hours of studio time outside of class are included in class fee.
