BalletMet Academy classes at the MAC will start Tuesday, September 5.
Enhance your child’s concentration, coordination and creativity with BalletMet. Their children’s classes are specially designed for young dancers ages 3 to 7 who are eager to learn in a fun and nurturing environment.
Most classes run from September to May, but new students are always welcome to join at any time. The schedule for Children’s Division classes at the MAC is as follows:
Develops creativity and coordination with a focus on rhythm, movement, music, imagination and fun.
Wednesdays, 4:30 – 5:00 pm
Saturdays, 10:00 – 10:30 am
Must be 3 by 9/30/23
Creates a stimulating environment through dance and movement while focusing on creativity and the joy of self-expression.
Tuesdays, 4:00-4:45 pm
Must be 4 by 9/30/23
Encourages imagination, self- expression and group interaction while introducing basic dance and music concepts.
Tuesdays, 4:45 – 5:30 pm
Must be 5 by 9/30/23
Through group dances and solos, students develop their knowledge of dance steps with rhythm and musicality while preparing their body with conditioning and stretching exercises as they transition to ballet.
Thursdays, 6:45-7:30 pm
Must be 6 by 9/30/23
Students are introduced to basic ballet steps, terminology and the relationship dance has with music.
Wednesdays, 5:00-6:00 pm
Must be 7 by 9/30/23
