| All Skill Levels
Instructor: Leslie Norman
Saturday, April 6th
11:00am – 2:00pm
Cyanotype is a form of ‘camera-less’ photography first discovered around 1840. Students will learn some background history and chemistry and how to prepare and apply emulsion to different surfaces. We will be printing inside with a UV light box and also outside (weather permitting). We will cover a variety of topics such as photograms, printing with negatives, utilizing unconventional materials like fabric/rocks/tea bags/etc., and discuss print toning. Cyanotype is a wonderfully versatile photographic process that is easy to learn and is a great introduction to traditional photography.
