Special Holiday Edition: Writing Love Poems (3 sessions)
High School-Adult | Beginner-Advanced
Instructor: Sara Abou Rashed
Saturdays, February 1 – February 15
10:00am-11:30am
As Charles Simic says, “After all, how many ways are there to describe someone’s lips, eyes, and hair?” Love, perhaps the single most universal feeling experienced and written about. In this fun and short three-week class, we will read, write and ponder some great and terrible love poems. Revisiting childhood memories, reading the works of others and looking closely at ‘cliches’ of writing about love, this class will be a light-hearted introduction to poetry writing especially to “non-writers.’’
