Drawing Foundations Series (Fridays) (Part 2)(Fall #2)

Drawing Foundations Series (Fridays) (Part 2) (Fall #2) (5 sessions)

Adult | All Skill Levels

Instructor: Anne Vega

Fridays, October 13 – November 10

2:00pm – 5:00pm

If you like to draw but haven’t had a lot of, or any, foundational instruction, this class is for you. We will be learning a series of finite skills that then have infinite applications. Through formal and individually guided instruction, the emphasis will be on the development of strong technical skills along with the development of finding one’s own voice and vision for their art. We will look at the artistic principles and their applications through historical and contemporary works, to see how these consistent, underlying principles emerge regardless of stylistic differences. This class involves drawing from direct observation from still lifes and live models as well as 2D references. Created as a series to help students develop and improve their drawing skills, the first term will begin with the foundational basics and progress toward finding higher-level intention and creativity in art in the second and third terms.
