Come make candleholders for cozy evenings and ikebana vases for spring flowers! ‘Ikebana’ means ‘giving life to flowers.’ One goal of the Japanese art of flower arrangement is to bring nature and humanity closer together. We will create different kinds ikebana vases and candleholders, focusing on surface design. Bring your own items such as leaves, stencils or lace for decorating or use what is provided. No experience necessary. Your first bag of clay, studio glazes, tools, and 20 hours of studio time outside of class are included in class fee.
