2-Day Basic Watercolor Workshop/Instructor Michelle Morris
You may bring what you have to the first class to see if it will do.

Paints: I use artist grade Winsor Newton, M Graham and Holbein paints. A basic palette consists of a “warm” and “cool” of each primary and a few earth tones and these are the suggested colors below. I will give full list of the colors on my palette the first day. More colors do not make better paintings.

Alizarin Crimson
Cadmium Red or Scarlet Lake
Aureolin
New Gamboge
Ultramarine blue
Cerulean blue
Burnt Sienna
Yellow Ocher or Raw Sienna
Optional: Sap green,

Brushes: Ask for watercolor brushes. They can be synthetic or the finest sable. The better the brush, the more expensive. Buy the best you can afford. A mid grade Blick brand synthetic is fine to begin. You will need:
# 6 round
# 10 round
Optional: 1-inch or ¾ 3/4 inch flat brush

9 x 12(or 1 size larger) 140 pd. Cold pressed watercolor block (glued together on the edges-needs no support)
9 x 12 (or 1 size larger) 140 pd. Cold pressed watercolor pad with mounting support

Mounting support- a masonite drawing board, gator board or similar surface to mount paper.
