Taking a break from the Creative Strings Workshop and Festival he leads this week at Otterbein, Christian Howes is ranked (for the third time) as the #2 violinist in the Downbeat Critics Poll “Rising Stars.”
Christian was a favorite of the late Les Paul, with whom he worked for 11 years. Says Christian of his mentor, “Les defied categorization in terms of age or genre. His character, approach to life, and musicianship taught me many valuable lessons which I hope never to forget”.
The MAC is thrilled to offer you some alternative styles and extraordinary talents of Howes and his band, as a preview of some of the continued new music to arrive on stage at the MAC.
