Doug Hughes

Doug Hughes began his professional career with ECA Educational Services, a provider of science programs and materials, performing hands-on science assembly programs in schools across the country. He then moved into operations management in the school picture business with hiring, training, and overseeing school photographers. Currently, Doug works as a video production freelancer and teaches video production classes to home school students in the Columbus area. He and his wife Amy have been married for 23 years, and have 15-year-old twin daughters, Hannah and Emily.

Doug has been teaching three different levels of film production classes to home school students for the past three years. In 2014 his students won “Best Student Film” with the International 168 Film Project in Los Angeles, CA. This past summer the students won a Student Production Award in the category of Short Form-Fiction through the Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards. Jon has also assisted John Ondo with his film production class at the McConnell Arts Center.
